Selena Gomez revealed her “biggest” celebrity crush from childhood amid her blooming romance with fiance Benny Blanco.
In the Wednesday, June 25, episode of GOAT Talk by Complex, the Calm Down songstress sat down with Karol G. The episode ends with surprising confessions from the singers as they dished on their “GOAT rapper”
While Karol G listed Eminem and Nicki Minaj as her favourites, the Only Murders in the Building star revealed she had a huge crush on Ice Cube during her pre-teen years.
“Can I tell you my first one I had a crush on, Ice Cube?” the Rare beauty mogul admitted. “I had the biggest crush on him when I was, like, 5. It’s so weird, but I just thought he would protect me. I’m only saying it simply based on my childhood.”
Moreover, Ice Cube wasn’t the only rap legend to leave a mark on her. Gomez also shared that she grew up admiring Eminem also known as Slim Shady and Marshall Mathers.
“One of mine was Eminem only because I grew up listening to him. My dad was a DJ and he would remix all kinds of songs, and every time it was an Eminem song, I would just get so excited,” the 32-year-old multi-hyphenate explained.
Gomez revelation comes ahead of her potential nuptials with Blanco, with whom she got engaged in December 2024.
Currently, the couple haven’t yet begun planning their wedding and are taking their relationship “one day at a time.”
