Kim Kardashian opened up about how her daughter North West reacted to the backlash she faced for wearing fake tattoos in a recent TikTok video.
The 45-year-old reality star spoke about the incident during her appearance on Complex’s GOAT Talk YouTube series, where she also shared her thoughts on the criticism.
The drama began when 12-year-old North appeared in a TikTok clip with temporary some tattoos, fake piercings, grillz and blue contact lenses.
Many fans believed the look was real, which led to a flood of online comments. The Kardashians star revealed that Kanye West’s daughter was surprised by the outrage and did not understand the reaction.
“She was like, ‘I don’t get it. It’s a Halloween costume. It’s all fake,’” Kim recalled.
The SKIMS founder also revealed that it was North, not her, who replied to a Daily Mail TikTok post about the controversy.
“She takes my phone, and she writes back to a comment, and she goes, ‘This is such a non-issue.’ Then online it was like, ‘Kim defends North to the end,’” she said, laughing. “That’s a good clapback.”
The beauty mogul described the comments from trolls as “horrible” and “disturbing.”
Moreover, she explained that her daughter always needs her approval before posting on TikTok. “Her and her girlfriends love doing costumes and looks.
It was Halloween season, so they put on fake tattoos, fake piercings, and colored hair. They looked like an opium Powerpuff Girls.”
For the unversed, North West is Kim’s eldest child with ex-husband Kanye West.
