Katie Holmes maintains defense for daughter Suri Cruise against rust fund reports

Katie Holmes on Suri Cruise’s trust fund rumour’s denial

Katie Holmes will always have her daughter Suri Cruise’s back.

The actrress , 45, responded to a critical comment online after slamming a misleading report about her 18-year-old daughter’s alleged inheritance.

On Sunday, Holmes called out a headline by Daily Mail that claimed, “Suri Cruise the millionaire! Tom Cruise’s trust fund has ‘kicked in’ and mom Katie Holmes has one for her too.”

The Batman Begins star firmly denied the story, writing over a screenshot of the headline, “Completely false.”

In the caption, Holmes added, “Enough,” directly refuting the publication.

The incident sparked discussion in the comments section of Holmes’ post, where one user shared their perspective on privilege.

“Gosh the hardships you guys face. Hey are you worried if you can pay your rent AND eat this month? No? Yea me either, I wish these were my problems,” the commenter wrote.

While acknowledging Holmes’ hard work and parenting, the user added, “Big picture dear. A story in a rag media outlet, when there are moms in parts of this world who hope their daughters just survive the day. So just perspective.”

Holmes responded thoughtfully, agreeing but also stressing the importance of protecting her daughter.

“I don’t disagree,” she wrote. “But in the world today, I don’t want a target on my child’s back. It’s dangerous.”

The Dawson’s Creek alum has consistently kept Suri, whom she shares with ex-husband Tom Cruise, out of the public eye.

Holmes and Cruise were married from 2006 to 2012.
